HAPPY JUNE EVERYONE! As Griffin Free Public Library enters into the long summer days, there are so many wonderful changes and updates happening at the library! Here are just a few:
Patron Computer Space: Thanks to Friends of Griffin Free Library, we received a NH Charitable Foundation grant that funded a brand-new patron computer/desk space for users! We now have two patron computers for use and up to four seats at patron work desks for homework and reading. Come check them out!
Library of Things Expansion: The Friends also contributed a new shelving system, custom made by Trickett Woodworks, for our Library of Things. Want to make bread, use a metal detector, dehydrate food, make ice cream? We got you covered!
3-D Printing Club: By popular demand, in July we are going to launch a teen-focused 3-D Printer Club. Kid will be able to learn the technology, make their own patterns and have fun doing it. Stay tuned.
Summer Reading Program: This year’s Summer Reading Program and Challenge is called Plant a Seed, Read. Read the story below for details!
Seed Library: Thanks to help from the Massabesic Garden Club, the library’s seed library is restocked and ready for summer. Stop by and grab some seeds!
Snacks: You wanted them, we got them! Stop by after school or after work for a delicious Nespresso or a (somewhat) healthy snack. Nothing like curling up in the book nook with a granola bar and coffee!
We are excited for the best summer ever at the library and hope to see you soon! My door is always open if you want to share an idea, comment, request or just want to catch up!
