Announcing for the 3rd consecutive year in a row the War Eagle Society will be a Sponsor of the Marie Wooten Memorial Scholarship Run. This marks the 4th anniversary of this run hosted by Auburn's College of Science and Mathematics and over the past 3 years has awarded 12 scholarships to College of Sciences and Mathematics students.

Pleased to announce that the War Eagle Society has made a financial contribution to the Big House Foundation, a 501(c3) non profit on behalf of Mikyle Crockett the reigning Miss Black and Gold of Auburn University and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc Kappa Chi chapter.

The financial donation will go towards buying schools supplies to aid some of the 4000 children in foster care in need of school supplies in the state of Alabama.

Pleased to report that renovations to former Auburn football great and the 1st African American football player, James Owens, home have begun as of yesterday. In total between all of the sponsors some $9,000 was raised to support James and his wife Gloria need to make their home handicap accessible.

I want to give a special shot out to WES Founder Barbara Wallace Edwards for bringing this to our attention.

I have also committed to the organizer of the event that we will aid in future efforts regarding supporting James and wife. War Eagle.
