City Holds On for 14โ€“7 Victory Over Auburn Chamber of Commerce at Kidzapalooza Kickball Game

AUBURN, Calif. โ€” August 14, 2026 โ€” The City of Auburn claimed a lively 14โ€“7 victory over the Auburn Chamber of Commerce during the Kidzapalooza kickball game at ARDโ€™s Food Fiesta, bringing together community spirit, friendly competition, fundraising, and plenty of laughter.
The game delivered a classic afternoon of fun as City and Chamber players took to the field for a spirited matchup. The Auburn Chamber of Commerce put points on the board early, led by Chamber member Marcus Johnson, who scored the gameโ€™s first home run and brought in additional runs for the Chamber.
The Cityโ€™s defense held strong behind City of Auburn Fire Chief John Rogers, whose pitching gave the Chamber little room for error. The City ultimately maintained its lead and secured the 14โ€“7 win.
Keeping spectators engaged throughout the game, J Ross, founder of Kidzapalooza, provided witty, minute-by-minute microphone updates that captured the energy of the event and added to the laughter on and off the field.
More than a friendly rivalry, the matchup helped raise funds for Kidzapaloozaโ€™s upcoming free family event on September 11, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at ARD Park.
The September 11 Kidzapalooza event will offer children and families opportunities to dance, learn about music, create art, and enjoy a bounce house provided by the Auburn Police Department. The event is designed to bring families together through accessible arts, music, recreation, and community connection.
Kidzapaloozaโ€™s kickball game showcased the playful, collaborative spirit of Auburn, with local leaders, business representatives, volunteers, and community members gathering for an afternoon centered on connection, celebration, and fun.
