City Holds On for 14โ7 Victory Over Auburn Chamber of Commerce at Kidzapalooza Kickball Game
AUBURN, Calif. โ August 14, 2026 โ The City of Auburn claimed a lively 14โ7 victory over the Auburn Chamber of Commerce during the Kidzapalooza kickball game at ARDโs Food Fiesta, bringing together community spirit, friendly competition, fundraising, and plenty of laughter.
The game delivered a classic afternoon of fun as City and Chamber players took to the field for a spirited matchup. The Auburn Chamber of Commerce put points on the board early, led by Chamber member Marcus Johnson, who scored the gameโs first home run and brought in additional runs for the Chamber.
The Cityโs defense held strong behind City of Auburn Fire Chief John Rogers, whose pitching gave the Chamber little room for error. The City ultimately maintained its lead and secured the 14โ7 win.
Keeping spectators engaged throughout the game, J Ross, founder of Kidzapalooza, provided witty, minute-by-minute microphone updates that captured the energy of the event and added to the laughter on and off the field.
More than a friendly rivalry, the matchup helped raise funds for Kidzapaloozaโs upcoming free family event on September 11, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. at ARD Park.
The September 11 Kidzapalooza event will offer children and families opportunities to dance, learn about music, create art, and enjoy a bounce house provided by the Auburn Police Department. The event is designed to bring families together through accessible arts, music, recreation, and community connection.
Kidzapaloozaโs kickball game showcased the playful, collaborative spirit of Auburn, with local leaders, business representatives, volunteers, and community members gathering for an afternoon centered on connection, celebration, and fun.
