🎓🐾 Congratulations to the Auburn Village School 5th Graders on your L.E.A.D. Graduation yesterday! 👏💙

K9 Milo joined the L.E.A.D. students and Sgt. Goulet to show off some of the skills he’s been learning too! 🐕‍🦺

Milo demonstrated his search and command skills like a true professional… but it was pretty obvious that the crowd favorite was watching Milo bit Officer Higgins in the bum.😂

Great job, 5th graders! We’re proud of all of you! 👮‍♂️📚🐾

On Friday 4/17/2026 at approximately 2:36 PM, Auburn Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in town for a report of an individual experiencing a mental health crisis.

Upon arrival, officers learned the individual had fled the scene in a motor vehicle. Officers were able to quickly identify the individuals vehicle and issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) to surrounding agencies.

While on scene, Sgt. Goulet was able to establish contact with the individual via FaceTime and remained in communication in an effort to de-escalate the situation and encourage the individual to remain on the line.

During the investigation, Candia Police Department located the individuals vehicle on Raymond Road. Due to the level of concern for the individual’s safety, K9 Milo and Ofc. Gardner were requested to the area and initiated a track.

Ofc. Gardner and K9 Milo were joined by Lt. Cashman, Det. Kapos, and two officers from Candia Police Department during the search. While Sgt. Goulet continued speaking with the individual via FaceTime, helping to maintain a level of calm and distraction, K9 Milo utilized his tracking abilities to locate the individual.

K9 Milo successfully led Ofc. Gardner and assisting officers through a wooded area where the individual was located.

The individual was transported to the Elliot Hospital for a mental health evaluation.

Auburn Police were assisted by the Candia Police Department, Manchester Waterworks, Rockingham County Dispatch, as well as members of the Auburn and Derry Fire Department.

Great work to all involved agencies in ensuring a safe outcome.
