The City of Auburn is seeking community-minded residents to serve on the Love Where You Live Committee for a two-year term.

This ad-hoc committee is dedicated to:

✅Strengthening community pride
✅Encouraging citizen involvement
✅Supporting initiatives that make Auburn an even better place to live, work, and raise a family

If you are passionate about Auburn and want to make a difference, we invite you to apply. Applicants must be a current resident of the City of Auburn. Applications will be accepted until Sept 11, 2026.

Attention Timberbrooke Subdivision:

Brookview Dr and Woodland Trail between DickeyJohn Rd to Timberbrooke Dr in the Timberbrooke Subdivision are scheduled to begin concrete repairs this Wednesday August 5th 2026.

PLEASE, move vehicles off the sides of the road.

Contractors will be sealing cracks along these roads as a preventative measure to prolong the life of the surfacing. Expect noise and dust in these areas while work is being completed. Crews will move quickly and all work should be done by the end of the day Wednesday or mid-day on Thursday.

As we previously announced, the City of Auburn customers can now pay their utility bills online using E-checks, credit cards, or debit cards or by telephone with a credit or debit card.

1) You may call # 888-399-9150 (Customers must know their NEW account number) & will go through each step.

2) You may also click on the link https://magic.collectorsolutions.com/.../city-of-auburn
& create an account (customers must know their NEW account number) to pay. This process accepts E-check (flat charge is .50 no matter what the bill amount is) or by using
a credit or debit cards. ***Please note that a convenience fee will apply when using this payment service, just as it did with the previous payment software.

Reminder: Direct debit (Auto Pay) is not set up on the new online system. If you would like to use direct debit, please call the City Office at 217-438-6151.

*With the start of the new software, it is a good time to ensure that your contact information is up to date. If at any time you change phone numbers, carriers, or no longer have a land line, please contact the City of Auburn at 217-438-6151 to update this information.

When the Fire Department helps with Lunch in the Park someone is going to get wet!

Thanks to everyone who helped out again today and to Casey's for providing pizzas for the kids!

The Lunch in the Park Program is amazing partnership between local churches and businesses providing free lunches to children every Tues/Thursday throughout the Summer.

Community is more than a word on the side of our trucks and cars.

Community is spending your lunch serving those around you. Thank you Auburn Police, Public Works and Fire Department for your time today, assisting with the Lunch in the Park Program. This amazing partnership between local churches and businesses provides free lunches to children every Tues/Thursday throughout the Summer.

Proving once again our people really are our most valuable asset!

Unfortunately the Fire Department had to leave early to fight a fire in Thayer. We’ll all be back again on this Thursday, so bring your swimming trunks!! 🚒
