The Auburn Public Library Boatmobile… I mean Bookmobile! In November of 1979 an emergency brake failure resulted in the Bookmobile rolling back into Auburn Pond. Fortunately, library workers acted quickly and were able to save the Bookmobile, which ran for another three years after its dip in the pond!
