As we get closer to the completion of our parking lot renovation project, we also wanted to share what else has been happening behind the scenes at Willard Chapel! We are currently restoring and weatherproofing our historic doors, completing our full building condition report, and beginning plans for a grand reopening celebration coming soon. There’s a lot of exciting progress happening 😊✨

As part of Preservation Month, the Community Preservation Committee is excited to showcase Karen Bove’s Lost Auburn Series 3, 4, and 5 in the Welch Memorial Building!

Karen Bove, local historian and artist, has dedicated much of her time using pen and ink and watercolor to create her “Lost Auburn Series”. Her series features old Auburn homes, factories, hotels, downtown businesses and other notable landmarks that were tore down.

Some of her “Lost Auburn Series” notecards will also be available to purchase in the Willard Chapel gift shop.
