A True Hero!

Today marks 3 years since we lost Deputy Robert Kunze. 3 years since a Hero gave his life to protect others. We all remember that day and the pain it brought to each of us as we found out. As more days go by we can only hope that the pain gets easier to deal with and the memories continue to live on. Your smile, laugh, and kind heart will not be forgotten. We miss you Kunze, keep watch over all of us down here đź’™

Thank you guys, it is very appreciated!

These thoughtful young men delivered a very generous donation to the Sheriff’s Office today! Konnor Keys, Luke Spurgin, Michael Schurig, and Jett Mattison are Washburn University students that took time out of their busy lives to show their gratitude for the men and women that serve this County. Thank you gentlemen, we appreciate you!

There is no guarantee of safety when you choose this profession. Knowing that is of little consolation when you lose a brother in blue. My heartfelt condolences to the family of Officer Mike Mosher and the Overland Park Police Department! Rest In Peace Officer Mosher, knowing the suspect can do no harm to anyone else thanks to your valiant efforts.

Overland Park Police Chief Frank Donchez identified the fallen officer as Mike Mosher, a decorated veteran of the department

For all firefighters out there, every Tesla in the front trunk has a red cable tagged with a firefighter helmet, cutting this cable disconnects all the high voltage lines in the vehicle, and renders it motionless. I asked about the solar roof too, and it’s expected a similar disconnect will be implemented that in some way reduced risk of electrocution, a rep is getting back to me. Always good to see companies backing first responders, every electric vehicle should have this!

Hey Auburnites.

Auburn got hit last night by some low life’s who burglarized several vehicles and stole one vehicle. Please make sure you remove valuables (ESPECIALLY FI****MS) and lock your vehicles. Every one of the vehicle burglaries I am aware of had been unlocked.

If you have an exterior security video camera please check the footage from late last night till early this morning (about 2300-0600 hours) to see if you might have any suspicious persons sneaking about.

Stay Safe!
