Thank you so much to Audubon Brownie Troop #30515 who took the time to make us these very special Valentine’s Day cards. Unfortunately we spend a lot of time dealing with people who don’t seem to love us but now we have these to remind us of those who do. Thanks again girls!

On Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 5:54pm Audubon Police Officers were dispatched to the area of S. Hood Avenue on a report of a motor vehicle accident. The involved vehicle was described as a white Dodge Charger which matched the description of a vehicle that moments before had been reported to be driving erratically in the jurisdictions of Haddonfield and Haddon Township. Upon arrival, officers were immediately alerted by witnesses that the operator of the vehicle fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood and was attempting to break into residences, specifically the 100 block of S. Barrett Avenue. Responding officers were able to quickly locate the male suspect running through a rear yard of a residence on S. Barrett Ave. As officers made their way into the rear yard the suspect was observed attempting to break into that home as he stood on the elevated deck of the residence. Initially the suspect resisted arrest causing minor injury to two officers but was ultimately taken into custody without further incident. The suspect was identified as 30-year-old Christian Capacchione of 10 N Girard Avenue, National Park, NJ 08063 and resides at 561 High Street, Woodbury, NJ 08096. A preliminary investigation revealed that as police were being called to the scene, the suspect successfully entered or tried to enter six (6) residences, and one (1) vehicle, leaving behind 15 victims as a result. The suspect was charged with 16 criminal offenses. Charges include: Terroristic Threats, Burglary, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Criminal Trespass, Criminal Mischief, Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Resisting Arrest. The two (2) injured Audubon Police Officers suffered only minor injuries and were treated then released from a local medical facility. The suspect was processed on all charges and then remanded to the Camden County Correctional Facility.

To better provide police and emergency responders critical information at the time of an emergency, a new initiative has been implemented in partnership with the Audubon Police Department and the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office. The Special Needs Registry is a free and voluntary service open to all citizens who may benefit from this program, such as those who have been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, Dementia, Down Syndrome, Autism or any other member of our community with special care needs.
The program consists of a registry which would supply officers with vital information regarding individuals with special needs and disabilities. The goal of the program is to make sure those members of our community who do require special attention are provided immediate and effective care exclusive to their needs. The information that is collected may comprise of such things as a registrant’s specific disability, emergency contact information, physical description and even a current photo. Emergency responders will have access to known routines, favorite attractions, and other information which may prove to be crucial in the event of an emergency. If you or a loved one is interested, please click on the link below. We ask that all questions be filled out completely and a current photograph be provided. Registration can be submitted online to
