On Wednesday, Governor Janet Mills joined the Infrastructure Rebuilding and Resilience Commission to release their final report, A Plan for Infrastructure Resilience, during an event at MaineHealth Lincoln Hospital in Damariscotta. The report is the culmination of the Commission's work over the last year to inform and guide the state's response, recovery, and rebuilding from extreme storms.

Damariscotta has experienced severe flooding and damage from the impacts of extreme weather, including the hospital's causeway and municipal lot downtown. The hospital causeway has been elevated, and the downtown municipal parking lot has been updated to include flood mitigation measures that will help increase resilience during future weather events.
