Fact of the Week #2: When times of strife such as natural disasters strike, AER provides much needed assitance to Soldiers and their families. These finacial grants and/or loans can be used to cover the costs for Army familis that need to evacuate, stablize in place, or even recovery. We here on Fort Eisenhower just recently turned to AER for support during Hurricane Helene.

If AER provided you with assitance during or after Helene please consider donating back to AER, as it is funded from the donations of service memebers.

Today marks the first full day of the FY2025 campaign. Fort Eisnehower has a goal of raising $100,000.00 dollars for the Army Emergency Relief Fund this year. In support of that we would like to present some facts about AER everyone may not be aware off.

Fact of the week #1: Did you know that AER can provide you with assitance with you're initial rent depoist when you PCS to a new duty location? Thats right, when you get assigned to a new duty station AER can provide you with a grant (thats right you do not have to pay it back) to assist with your initial rent deposit for your new place. If you still need further assistance with other deposit expenses (i.e utlities) after this, AER can offer you an interest free loan to assist with those additional exepnses. This is a much better option that using a credit card or short term payday loan to cover these expenses as they can charge exuberant intrest rates.

Yesterday we had an opportunity to celebrate the well deserved promotion of SSG Sandoval to Sergeant First Class. His father, retired First Sergeant Sandoval, now JROTC Instructor and patriarch of a family with a legacy of military service, pinned SFC Sandoval!

We also marked the farewell of SFC Larios and family. He served with great distinction as one of our Elecromagnetic warfare (EW/17E) SGLS and Deputy Brach Chief of Alpha Branch. He has left an indelible mark on the NCOA and generations of NCOs that have passed through the Academy. Best of luck at SETAF!
