Today, weโ€™re celebrating our School Lunch Heroes!

A special thank-you goes to Mrs. Yvette Ferrell, school nutrition manager at A. Dorothy Hains Elementary School, and her incredible team for the care, dedication and love they pour into serving more than 380 students each day.

From preparing nutritious meals to greeting students with warm smiles and hugs, Mrs. Ferrell and her staff help make the cafeteria a place where students feel seen, supported and ready to learn.

To celebrate School Lunch Hero Day, Mrs. Ferrell received a surprise visit from RCSS Nutrition Services Director Cathy Johnson, A. Dorothy Hains Principal Rachel McRae and her family, who came together to show their support and honor her as their school lunch hero.

Happy School Lunch Hero Day! Thank you for feeding our students and fueling their success.

It's National Principals Month!

From early morning car lines to late-night emails, our RCSS principals do it all โ€” with coffee in hand and plenty of school spirit!

We asked our principals to share a few fun facts, and letโ€™s sayโ€ฆ weโ€™ve got some hidden talents, snack stashes, and karaoke stars among them!

Hereโ€™s to the leaders who keep our schools learning, laughing, and thriving every day.
