It is with heavy hearts that we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of Columbia County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Sikes, who tragically lost his life in the line of duty.

Deputy Sikes served his community with courage, honor, and unwavering dedication. His sacrifice will never be forgotten, and his commitment to protecting others serves as an enduring example to us all.

On this day, we pay tribute to the brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our nation. We remember their selflessness, their courage, and their dedication to duty. We also honor the families of these fallen heroes, who have endured the pain of loss and made their own sacrifices in service to our country.

As we reflect on the meaning of Memorial Day, let us also remember that the freedoms we enjoy today were bought at a high price. It is up to us to honor the legacy of those who have gone before us by remaining vigilant in our commitment to defend and preserve these freedoms for future generations.

So let us take a moment today to pause, to remember, and to honor the brave men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. May their memory be a blessing, and may we never forget the debt of gratitude we owe to them.

We were proud to assist our brothers and sisters at Augusta, Georgia Fire/EMA today. All did an outstanding job today and we were honored to lend a hand. We have to show some love to the Richmond County Marshal's Office for escorting our ARFF truck to the scene. πŸš’πŸ§―πŸš“
