This somber day marked the beginning of the United States’ involvement in World War II, changing the course of history forever. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 PATRIOTS DAY - NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE 🇺🇸

Today, we honor the brave Americans who met the terror of September 11 with extraordinary acts of courage and sacrifice.

In the moments after the attacks on September 11, heroes were forged.

Firefighters, police officers, and first responders ran into the inferno of jet fuel and debris at Ground Zero, risking their own lives to save the lives of others.

Service members and civilians rushed into the fiery breach at the Pentagon again and again to rescue their colleagues.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET. WE STAND UNITED. WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. 🇺🇸

This Memorial Day is hitting the Hellkite Family a little bit harder than most. As we honor all of those who have given their lives in service to our Nation, we are devastated by the loss of one of our own, SFC Chad Rings, this past Saturday, May 25, 2024.

SFC Rings joined the Army in 2007 and served as CBRN Specialist on Active Duty before joining the Michigan Army National Guard. Serving in almost every role available to him from CBRN Recon Specialist to Battalion Operations NCO, Recon Platoon Sergeant and most recently Company Operations NCO he will be remembered most as a mentor, shoulder to lean on, leader, father, and friend.
