The Woodruff County Clerk’s office is accepting resumes for a Deputy Clerk. Duties include HR, Payroll, Accounts Payable, County and Probate Court Recording, Issuing Marriage License, and all aspects of Election. Benefits include county paid health & life insurance, APERS Retirement (5.25% employee and 15.32% paid by county), 40 sick hours per year, paid vacation after one year, and 14 paid holidays. Office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a one-hour lunch break and two 15-minute breaks. Anyone who is interested in this position may drop off or mail resumes to Jackie S. Meredith at 500 N. 3rd Street, Augusta, AR 72006.

Just a reminder to all new and re-elected county and city officials! Judge Henry Boyce will be at the Woodruff County Courthouse at 9 am on January 3rd for the official swearing in ceremony. The first meeting of the new JPs will immediately follow. If you have any questions please call our office tomorrow 870-347-2871.

To all candidates who won their positions we need you to come into the office this week to fill out your Certificate of Election and pay your 10.00 fee so we can get these into the Secretary of States Office. They will create your Commission. Failure to complete this paperwork could result in the position being declared VACANT. Please share or tag anyone you know who may need to do this.
