So we thought they were just randomly snapping pictures of usโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ“ธ Little did we know, Team 1 had a whole plan in motion! Yesterday, Augusta 911 Admin Team launched our quarterly team bonding and it did NOT disappointโ€ฆ games, a potluck, teamwork challenges, and a surprise video of all of us playing during the session!

This is what excellence and unity look like in action. Our teams paired up, leaned on each other, and showed up for one another, and thatโ€™s exactly the kind of team we are. Shoutout to Bridget Canteen and Henry Sevion for setting the bar beautifully. First team down, three more to go! โœจ

๐Ÿšจ Teachable Tuesday Spotlight ๐Ÿšจ

At Augusta 911, no two calls are ever the same, and some test every skill we train for in real time.
Today, weโ€™re proud to recognize Communication Officer II Johnson and Communication Officer II Barry for their outstanding performance during a complex incident involving an armed robbery, vehicle pursuit, and multiple foot pursuits across precincts.

What began as an armed robbery quickly escalated into a vehicle chase, followed by two separate foot pursuits that extended from North Precinct into South Precinct. This incident required coordination across multiple radio channels, including North Main, North Tac, South Main, and South Tac, all while information continued to develop in real time.

๐Ÿ’ก Teachable Moment:
Incidents like this highlight the importance of clear communication, situational awareness, and teamwork. When multiple units, channels, and jurisdictions are involved, the ability to stay organized, relay accurate information, and prioritize officer safety is critical.
CO Johnson, who was on her final solo day of training, demonstrated exceptional composure and control while managing radio traffic on both North Main and North Tac. Despite the complexity of the call, she remained focused, responsive, and in step with her units throughout the incident.
CO Barry worked alongside her, and together they demonstrated strong teamwork and coordination ensuring that information was clearly communicated, accurately documented, and that the safety of responding units remained a top priority.
What stands out most is not just their ability to manage a high-risk, multi-layered incident, but how they did it professionally, collaboratively, and with a clear focus on supporting those in the field.

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ Please join us in recognizing CO Johnson and CO Barry for their excellent work and commitment to public safety.
