Thank You to the Georgia State Society N.S.C.A.R. and President Noah Tindall for helping to tell the story of American independence at Meadow Garden!

These interpretive panels on the grounds at Meadow Garden follow the key moments that defined George Walton's life and his enduring contribution to American history. This timeline traces his path—from his dedicated military service and time as a prisoner of war to his pivotal role in the Continental Congress, where, at just 26 years old, he became a signer of the Declaration of Independence.

A peek inside the walls! Carpenters carefully remove sections of siding. The new electrical and mechanical conduit will be placed underground then will come into Meadow Garden concealed within the historic walls as it connects through to the attic space. The new HVAC systems will then utilize the chimneys for venting. These ingenious systems will provide improved temperature and humidity control, which is so important for historic sites. The new system will also eliminate much of the traditional ductwork and will minimize modern intrusions into the historic structure. Follow us to see this fascinating work as it progresses.
