City Hall will be closed Monday, May 25, 2026, in honor of Memorial Day.

The City will begin spring street sweeping this week. Please do not park on the street and move your garbage and recycling carts out of the parking lanes so crews can clean effectively. This may take up to four days to complete.

Samantha Hanson, a senior at Wildlands School, poured her time, care, and creativity into designing and building raised garden beds for her senior capstone project. What began as an idea has grown into something that will bring life, color, and nourishment to others.

This summer, her work will continue to give back as the garden beds are used to grow fresh vegetables and beautiful flowers at the Augusta Senior and Community Center.

A special thank you to the Augusta Area Foundation for financially supporting this project, along with the support of the Augusta AARP Chapter 3768.

A big thank you to the Wildland School for refreshing the parking lot lines at the Augusta Senior and Community Center. We also appreciate the generous support from local businesses and community members who provided supplies and lunch—Tugger’s, Brian’s & Trisha’s Cafe, Cenex, Augusta Hardware, Sue Troxel, and our wonderful staff.
