Honoring a 4-H Legend: Dolly Parton

Today, we celebrate the incredible legacy of Dolly Parton—a legendary entertainer, philanthropist, and proud former 4-H’er! 💚

Before she became a global icon, Dolly was a Tennessee 4-H member, where she developed skills, confidence, leadership, and a love of serving others. Her journey is a wonderful reminder of how 4-H helps young people discover their talents and grow into the leaders they can become.

From the 4-H meeting room to the world stage, Dolly Parton shows us that big dreams can start small. ✨

Join us in celebrating Dolly and all the 4-H’ers who are making their mark on the world—one project, one experience, and one dream at a time!

💚 Once a 4-H’er, always a 4-H’er!

Across Georgia, students who participate in 4-H programs feel more prepared, more accountable and more supported because of the opportunities provided by hands-on programming in agriculture, science, civic engagement, leadership, health and wellness, according to the 2025 National 4-H Index Study.

4-H was well represented at the Augusta Agriculture Month ceremony at the Augusta Municipal Building. Our very own Michaela Hall shared a poem. 4-H volunteer Garden Club leader, Joy Brown, was the MC of the program. Our very own Carolyn Henry (sewing club volunteer) prepared the food. Everything was delicious and amazing.
