In addition to Popsicles on the Playground next week, there will be an open house on August 26 from 5-6pm!

It’s almost time for Open Houses! Our schools across the district will be opening their doors to welcome students and families before the first day of school. Open Houses are a great chance to:
✔️ Meet your teachers and staff
✔️ Explore classrooms and hallways
✔️ Learn about programs and resources
✔️ Connect with other families

Each school has its own Open House schedule. Please check with your student’s school for specific details. We look forward to seeing you there as we get ready for an exciting year ahead!

🍎🥕 FREE SUMMER KIDSPAK FOOD BAG DELIVERIES! 🥕🍎
The Augusta Food Bank is partnering with the City of Augusta Childcare to help ensure children have access to nutritious food throughout the summer.
📅 Every Friday beginning June 26, 2026
FREE KidsPak food bags will be available at the following locations:
📍 Glenridge Apartments — 10:30 AM - 10:50 AM
📍 McCalls Playground — 10:55 AM - 11:15 AM
📍 Williams Playground — 11:20 AM - 11:40 AM
📍 Mill Park — 11:50 AM - 12:05 PM
📍 Calumet Playground — 12:10 PM - 12:25 PM
🥪 KidPaks contain kid-friendly food items to help bridge the gap when school meals are unavailable.
❤️ Thank you to the Augusta Food Bank and City of Augusta Childcare for working together to support local families this summer.

Sharing for all of the Memorial Day (and summer weekend) barbecues! Hussey PTO would appreciate your bottle/can donations - they help support the incredible events we do at Lillian P. Hussey Elementary School all year long AND our fabulous school store!

If you have bottles lying around, drop them off at Neighborhood Redemption! They collect them all year for us - just let them know they are for Hussey School!

Please pass this along to anyone who may want to support us!
