Knoedler Memorial Library The Knoedler Memorial Library was built in 1928 and is located on Main St. in Augusta, KY. The Knoedler Memorial Library was built in 1928.

Phillip Knoedler built and donated the library to the city in honor of his parents, Louis Phillip Knoedler and Mary Buckner Gibbons Knoedler. Mary was a descendant of Phillip Buchner. In 1986, the middle room was built on from money left to the library by Anna Louise Stout. In 2004 another addition was made to the back of the library from money donated by Dr. Charles and Mildred Werk. The library

belongs to the City of Augusta and is run by a board of five Trustees. The trustees are appointed by the mayor .
