Anyone thinking about putting items in barrel for the Summer of a Million Meals at Dillons in Augusta, we need canned vegetables!!

Dillons, Kansas Food Bank and Kake News are sponsoring a huge food drive to benefit the Caring Center and the Kansas Food Bank. There is a donation bin in the entrance to Dillons in Augusta to put items you buy. The Caring Center will pick up your donations each Monday morning. Help out your neighbor this summer by keeping the Caring Center pantry shelves full!

• Dates: Monday through Friday, throughout July 31st
• Note: Lunch will not be served on Friday, July 3rd
• Time: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

If you are having a garage sale this weekend, please consider donating the unsold items to the Caring Center. We are in need of clothing and other household items. Please, no furniture - we do not have the room to store big items. Thank you.

The next TEFAP distribution is June 27th. Box contents will be published at a later date. If you need someone to pick up for you get a proxy form as soon as possible. We can email on to you if you send a message asking for one.

The Caring Center is still in need of children's clothing. If you have any extra (left over from a garage sale maybe?) we would appreciate it if you would donate it to us to give to folks in need in Butler County. Thanks!

Tomorrow, May 23rd is TEFAP Saturday. We will start the distribution by 8:30 AM and stop at 10:00. In the box tomorrow: chicken drumsticks, yogurt cups, mandarins, oranges, apple juice, elbow pasta, canned peas, canned pears, canned peaches, peanut butter, canned veg soup and cranberries.
