Tomorrow, May 23rd is TEFAP Saturday. We will start the distribution by 8:30 AM and stop at 10:00. In the box tomorrow: chicken drumsticks, yogurt cups, mandarins, oranges, apple juice, elbow pasta, canned peas, canned pears, canned peaches, peanut butter, canned veg soup and cranberries.

If you are planning to have a Garage Sale this weekend the Caring Center is in need of clothing donations, particularly children's and infants clothing, but everything is needed. Thanks!

Update to the letter carriers food drive: the total received is 2,384 pounds of canned and boxed food. Thanks again to everyone who donated, picked up, sorted and stocked the shelves!

As of the end of Saturday, the Letter Carriers Union helped collect 2,170 pounds of canned and boxed food for the Caring Center. Thank you to the Union and all the letter carriers for their time and effort today. Thanks also to all the postal customers who donated the food. And thanks to the Boy Scout troop that helped us to weigh, sort and put all that food away! Our pantry looks a lot better now!

Today is the Day! The Letter Carriers union is collecting the blue bags with food donations to the Caring Center today. Put your blue bag with canned and boxed goods in it by your mailbox this morning and the Letter Carriers will take care of the rest! Help make this the best food drive of the year!

Watch your mailboxes this week for information on the Letter Carriers food drive. You will receive a postcard with info and a blue bag to put your donation in. The Augusta Post Office will pick up your blue bags on Saturday May 9th and deliver them to the Caring Center. We depend on this drive every year to restock our shelves in the pantry so we can continue helping our friends and neighbors.
