⚖️ Adjudication Update – Woodruff County
Yesterday in Judge Morledge’s court, Rickey Martin Jr. was adjudicated for multiple offenses stemming from the Aggravated Robbery at Family Dollar/Dollar Tree in McCrory and the assault on a Woodruff County Sheriff’s Deputy while in custody.
Martin originally faced a range of charges. He ultimately accepted a plea deal and pled guilty to:
• Aggravated Robbery
• Possession of a Firearm
• Disarming an Officer
• Battery 1st Degree
He was sentenced to 25 years in the Arkansas Department of Corrections, to run concurrent with his current federal sentence.
This conviction sends a clear message: Woodruff County will not tolerate violent behavior, threats to public safety, or attacks on law enforcement.
Sheriff Reynolds and the Deputies of the Woodruff County Sheriff’s Office remain committed to protecting our residents and keeping our communities safe every day.
This was one of several cases adjudicated yesterday. Additional defendants received prison sentences, probation or parole, and several were fined as part of the court’s proceedings.
Thank you to the citizens of Woodruff County for your continued support as we work to uphold justice and maintain safety across our county.

🎒 Count Down to Classroom — Community Thank You 🎒

The Woodruff County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who helped make today’s Count Down to Classroom event a great success for all the collaboration with ArCare and The Augusta Compassion Committee Augusta, McCrory, and all Woodruff County schools.

Sheriff Phil Reynolds enjoyed spending the afternoon with our students, families, and staff — flying the drone, capturing photos, and visiting with the community. Today’s event is one of many the Sheriff’s Office will continue to attend as part of our ongoing commitment to supporting our schools and strengthening community partnerships.

A special thank you to Chief Deputy Ryan Grisham and 911 Coordinator TiJuana Reeder for being available to attend and assist with today’s event.

We are Woodruff County.

Recent storms have caused significant damage across several areas of Woodruff County.

The following locations are severely affected:

Please avoid these areas. Crews are actively on scene working to clear downed trees, power lines, and other debris. For your safety and theirs, do not attempt to drive around barricades or enter blocked roadways.
