WESTBROOK, MAINE

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency announces the arrest of a Westbrook man and a Bridgton woman for aggravated drug trafficking charges.

ARRESTED:

Amanuel A. Sentayehu, 29, of Westbrook charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs (Co***ne Base)

Aria A. Pomerleau, 30, of Bridgton charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs (Co***ne Base), Falsifying Physical Evidence, as well as two outstanding arrest warrants (failure to appear).

On Thursday, May 28, 2026, agents from MDEA’s Cumberland District Task Force initiated an investigation into a hotel at the Portland/Westbrook line. Agents had received information from the public stating there was suspected drug trafficking at that location.

MDEA agents coordinated with members of the Westbrook Police Department as well as the Portland Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit (CRU). While monitoring the area, two individuals were identified as they entered a vehicle and left the location. Westbrook Police subsequently stopped the vehicle on Larrabee Road in Westbrook.

A roadside investigation was initiated, and several suspicious items were observed in plain view. Agents and Westbrook Police located and seized 363 grams of suspected Co***ne Base (Crack), approximately $20,000.00 in suspected drug proceeds, as well as several other items indicative of drug trafficking. Co***ne Base (Crack) currently sells for between $80.00-$120.00 per gram on the street.

Amanuel Sentayehu was arrested during the traffic stop and transported to the Cumberland County Jail where he is being held on $15,000.00 cash bail. Sentayehu is expected to make his first appearance in court on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Aria Pomerleau was also arrested and transported to the Cumberland County Jail where she is being held on $32,500.00 cash bail. Pomerleau is expected to make her first appearance in court on Friday, May 29, 2026.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

WINTHROP, MAINE - The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency announces the arrest of man from the Dominican Republic following a month’s long drug trafficking investigation.

Arrested:

Jorge Luis Franco Mejia (31) of the Dominican Republic – Class A Aggravated Trafficking Schedule W Drugs Co***ne HCl and Fentanyl. Bail set at $100,000.

On Thursday afternoon, May 28, 2026, Agents assigned to the Maine Drug Enforcements South Central District Task Force executed a search warrant at a Winthrop motel. The search warrant was based on a month’s long investigation into the trafficking of fentanyl and co***ne, which included undercover purchases of fentanyl and co***ne.

As a result of the search warrant, agents located and seized 180ggw (gross gram weight) of co***ne, 20ggw of fentanyl and $1660.00 in suspected drug proceeds. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $20,000. Franco Mejia was taken into custody without incident.

More arrests and charges are expected based on this investigation.

Maine Drug Enforcement’s South Central Task Force was assisted by the Winthrop Police Department and a Maine State Police K-9 Unit.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

THOMASTON, MAINE

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) announces the arrest of two individuals from Texas/Maine/California on drug trafficking charges.
ARRESTED:
MARIAH GROVER, 22, who is known to reside in both Texas and Maine was arrested for Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled W Drugs.

JEFFERSON JAZZIR ARIAS, 27, who is known to reside in both Texas and California was arrested and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled W Drugs. Arias also had two extraditable warrants. One from California (Robbery) and the other from Texas (Theft).

On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Mid-Coast Task Force office, along with members of the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, received information about suspicious activity and suspected drug trafficking on the island of Vinalhaven. This information concerned drug trafficking on the ferry from Vinalhaven to Rockland as well. An investigation ensued in which a suspected vehicle occupied by Grover and Arias was identified.

As a result of this investigation, Knox County Sheriff’s Department personnel conducted a traffic stop in the Town of Thomaston. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of 66 grams of suspected Co***ne, a .45 caliber handgun, $9,500.00 in suspected drug proceeds, as well as other items indicative of drug trafficking.


Mariah Grover was transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Trafficking in Scheduled W Drugs (Co***ne). Grover is being held on $50,000 cash bail and is expected to make an initial appearance in court on Friday, May 29, 2026.

Jefferson Jazzir Arias was also transported to the Knox County Jail and charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled W Drugs (Co***ne). Arias is being held on $75,000 cash bail and is expected to make an initial appearance in court on Friday, May 29, 2026.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

SCARBOROUGH, MAINE

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency (MDEA) announces the arrest of a Cape Elizabeth man for aggravated drug trafficking charges.

ARRESTED:
Peter White, 48, of Cape Elizabeth, is charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs and Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs. White was on probation at the time of his arrest, and a probation hold was additionally placed on him.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2026, agents from Maine Drug Enforcement Agency’s Cumberland District Task Force, along with Scarborough Police, arrested Peter White following a week-long drug trafficking investigation. Information had been received that a guest staying at a Scarborough hotel on Payne Road was selling drugs from that location. Undercover purchases were subsequently made from White at that hotel.

White was taken into custody after one of these purchases and a search warrant was drafted and executed for his hotel room.
The search warrant was served by MDEA agents, members of the Scarborough Police Selective Enforcement Team, and the US Drug Enforcement Administration.

Agents seized over 3.3 pounds of Fentanyl, an ounce of Co***ne Base (Crack), approximately $2,700.00 in suspected drug sale proceeds, as well as additional evidence of illegal drug trafficking.

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $60,000.00.

White was transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was held on $75,000 cash bail and is expected to make an initial appearance in court on Friday, May 1, 2026.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

PORTLAND, MAINE

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency announces the arrest of a New York man for aggravated drug trafficking charges.

ARRESTED:

Raymond H. Teran, 51, of Bronx, New York charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs (Co***ne), Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs (Co***ne Base), Illegal Importation of Scheduled Drugs (Co***ne), and Falsifying Physical Evidence.

On Friday, March 27, 2026, Agents from MDEA’s Cumberland District Task Force initiated an investigation into the interstate trafficking of Co***ne, alongside officers from the South Portland Police Department. Information developed during that investigation led agents to conduct surveillance at an Airbnb on Emery Street in Portland, where Raymond Teran was observed coming and going.

A search warrant was sought for the Emery Street location in Portland and served by MDEA Agents, Portland Police, and agents from the US DEA. Agents seized over 500 grams of Co***ne (1.1 pounds), 13 grams of Co***ne Base (Crack), over $38,000.00 in suspected drug proceeds, and additional evidence of illegal drug importation and sales. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $22,000.00

Raymond Teran was arrested during the service of this warrant and transported to the Cumberland County Jail, where he was held on $50,000.00 cash bail and is expected to make an initial appearance in court on Monday, March 30, 2026.

Additional criminal charges are expected as this investigation continues to progress.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

SEARSPORT, MAINE

MDEA, Maine State Police, Waldo County Sheriff’s Office, and Searsport Police Department announce the arrest of individuals for drug trafficking in Searsport Maine.

ARRESTED:

David Hersom, 65, of Searsport, charged with Unlawful Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs class B. Bail set at $2500.00 cash.

Melissa Dyer, 47 of Searsport, charged with Unlawful trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs Class B. Bail set at $2500.00 cash

Holly Jo Ward, 42, of Searsport, charged with Aggravated trafficking Schedule “W” drugs class A. Bail set at $750 Cash

Yandril Mateo-Nunez, 20, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, charged with Aggravated Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs Class A. $10,000.00 cash bail

Nelkis Alexander Villalona-Perez, 22, of Lawrence, Massachusetts, charged with Aggravated Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs class A. $10,000.00 cash bail.

For the past several months, The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Mid-Coast Drug Task Force, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and the Searsport Police Department have been conducting a joint investigation into the sale of Methamphetamine and co***ne from 2 residences in Searsport. This investigation included several undercover purchases of both co***ne base and methamphetamine from the residences.

On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, MDEA applied for and received search warrants for 22 Homestead Lane and 119 Loop Road in Searsport. With the aid of the Maine State Police tactical team, Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and Searsport PD, the warrants were executed in the early morning hours. As a result of the undercover buys of drugs from the residences MDEA arrested Holly Jo Ward of 119 Loop Road for Aggravated Trafficking Schedule “W” Drugs. Agents also arrested Yandril Mateo-Nunez and Nelkis Alexander Villalona-Perez of Lawrence, Massachusetts. Both were Charged with Aggravated Trafficking of Schedule W Drugs Class A.

As a result of the search Agents seized $4390 in suspected drug proceeds and 70 grams of methamphetamine, 24 grams of co***ne and 2 fi****ms.

Agents then executed the search warrant at 22 Homestead Lane with the aid of the Maine State Police Tactical Team, the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office and Searsport Police Department. As a result of the undercover buys at this location MDEA arrested David Hersom and Melissa Dyer. As a result of the search agents located 28 fi****ms and 29 grams of methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the Drugs is $12,400.00.

Ward, Mateo-Nunez, Villalona-Perez, Hersom and Dyer are currently being held at the Waldo County Jail awaiting their initial appearance in court.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MDEA and the Auburn Police Department announce the arrest of three individuals for aggravated drug trafficking in Auburn Maine.

ARRESTED:

Brianna Reny, 26, of Auburn charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs and Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs.

Akil Charles, 31, of Brockton, Massachusetts charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs and Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs.

William Tardiff, 57, of New Gloucester charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs.

In December of 2024, agents from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency received information regarding a drug trafficking organization. Along with community tips and intelligence received from MDEA’s local law enforcement partners, an extensive investigation began and ultimately resulted in the identification of the main trafficking location in Auburn.

On December 1, 2025, a search warrant was sought and granted for Brianna Reny’s apartment located at 257 Turner St. (1R) in Auburn. While surveillance was being conducted at the residence, agents identified a vehicle connected to this organization leaving the address and a traffic stop was initiated. William Tardiff was the operator and was found to be in possession of 179 grams of suspected Co***ne. Tardiff was arrested, charged, and is currently being held at the Androscoggin County Jail. He is being held on $10,000.00 cash bail pending an initial appearance.

At approximately 6:30 pm, the Maine State Police Tactical Team executed the search warrant on the residence. Akil Charles was captured while fleeing out a window and Brianna Reny was detained without incident.

A search of the apartment resulted in the seizure of 1244 grams of Co***ne, 540 grams of Fentanyl, 53 grams of Methamphetamine, as well as other items indicative of drug trafficking. Approximately $18,200.00 in suspected drug proceeds were located alongside the drugs. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $75,000.00.

Reny was charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs and Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs. Reny is currently at the Androscoggin County Jail being held on $10,000.00 cash bail pending an initial appearance. Charles was charged with Aggravated Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs and Trafficking in Scheduled “W” Drugs. Charles is currently at the Androscoggin County Jail being held without bail as he was out on bail for Robbery. This investigation continues, and additional arrests are expected.

Maine State Police, Auburn PD, Lisbon PD, Lewiston PD, and the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office also assisted in the service of the search warrant and year-long investigation.

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
