If you weren't able to join us for last week's art reception, enjoy this virtual exhibit of the beautiful art of Becca Anchor, Mary Houston and Alice Houston Miles. The exhibit will be in the Sacred Heart art hall through June 19. The art hall is open for visits most weekdays from 9 am- 5 pm. A portion of each sale of art benefits the ongoing preservation of historic Sacred Heart Cultural Center.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the artist's reception for Becca Anchor, Mary Houston and Alice Houston Miles this week. We had a great turnout and an appreciative crowd for their beautiful exhibit. Our musical friend, Bill Karp, kept the energy up with his cool jazz! This exhibit will be on display in the Sacred Heart art hall through Friday, June 19 and is open for viewing Monday- Friday, 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. A portion of each sale of art benefits the ongoing preservation of historic Sacred Heart Cultural Center.

Are you an artist and love Sacred Heart? If so, consider two opportunities to showcase your work within these beautiful walls. The first is a three-week exhibit called "Iconic Augusta Through the Ages." Artists ages 13 and older are invited to submit two pieces of two-dimensional art of any medium to be showcased and sold during the show, June 23- July 10. Friday, May 8 is the deadline to express interest.

If you'd like to be considered to be a featured artist in our art gallery during 2027, the deadline to apply is May 28. Reach out to [email protected] to apply or with questions. Join us today from 5:00-7:00 in the Great Hall for the artist's reception for this beautiful new exhibit. We'll enjoy the jazz stylings of Bill Karp Jazz. Celebrate three talented artists while surrounded by the artistic and architectural glory of the Great Hall. Each purchase of art supports the ongoing preservation of historic Sacred Heart Cultural Center.

It may be cool and drizzly today (thank heavens for the rain) but this time last week it was a glorious day for the 2026 Garden City Festival and Garden Tour! Thank you to everyone who supported the ongoing preservation of historic Sacred Heart through this event— 140 volunteers, four garden owners, five expert speakers, 26 vendors, six food trucks, two bands, dozens of floral designers, one talented artist, our event sponsors, and the many guests who purchased tickets to join us in celebrating springtime and our beautiful, 152-year-old venue. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

It’s beautiful day for the Garden City Festival and Garden Tour today! Both the Festival here and tours of four lovely gardens go until 5:00 today. Tickets are available at the gate at Sacred Heart and at each garden (cash or check only at the gardens). All proceeds benefit the ongoing preservation of historic Sacred Heart!
