Yesterday, the Richmond County Marshal’s Office collaborated with Code Enforcement on a countywide sign sweep following the election, removing campaign signs that were placed within the public right-of-way.

Per City of Augusta and State of Georgia regulations, campaign signs are not permitted in the right-of-way and must be placed outside of the ROW. Signs collected during the sweep will be stored for candidates in the event of a run-off election and can be picked up from the designated substation. Any remaining signs not claimed by the candidate will be disposed of.

We appreciate the cooperation of our candidates, residents, and community partners as we work together to keep Augusta’s roadways clear, safe, and clean.

A simple conversation can make a difference.

Mental health challenges aren't always visible, and many people struggle in silence. Take a moment today to check on a friend, coworker, family member, or neighbor. Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is let someone know they're not alone.

Housing situations can be stressful and emotional, which is why understanding your rights and the eviction process is so important for both tenants and property owners. In Georgia, evictions must go through the court system before any enforcement action can take place. For more information visit https://www.augustaga.gov/545/Evictions-FIFA
