UPDATE:
We are providing an update regarding the bomb threat at Highland High School.
The Ault Police Department, along with K-9 units and personnel from the Weld County Sheriff's Office and Larimer County Sheriff's Office, have completed a full sweep of Highland High School. Nothing was found during this sweep, and the campus has been confidently deemed safe for occupancy.
Highland High School will operate on a modified schedule beginning at 10:30 AM today. Please note that state testing for high school students will be postponed.
We appreciate the patience and cooperation of our students, staff, families, and law enforcement partners during this time. The safety and well-being of our school community remains our top priority.

Dear Parents/Caregivers,
We are writing to inform you that Highland High School received a bomb threat. There were no threats to the other schools in the district. At this time, the threat has not been determined to be credible; however, out of an abundance of caution, law enforcement is conducting a full safety sweep of the building, which is expected to take approximately one hour. During this time, students and staff will not be permitted inside the school.
Students who arrive by bus or are dropped off will be escorted to a secure location.
There is currently no threat to Highland Elementary or Highland Middle School. We will provide an update as soon as more information is available.
