PSA: The city has approved a solicitor permit for Lily Bell with Fox Pest Control. The solicitor is given a badge with the city’s approval. This permit is valid from 7/15/2026 - 8/15/2026. The city does not conduct background checks nor endorse those who receive the solicitor permits.

PSA: The City received a number of calls from residents who have door hangers on their door or answered the door for a fiber company solicitor. What’s reported to the City is this person claims every house must have a fiber connection and this was approved by the city.

Residents should know the city can only permit installation of services within the rights of ways. This area typically runs parallel to and may be behind the sidewalk, not from the street to your house. Some portion of front yards may in fact be in the right of way. Feel free to contact the city if you are approached and unsure. Also, you would not or should not be required to sign anything from the city.

If the city needed access to your property, a city staff member would be contacting you not a private company. If you want to allow the fiber company access to your property or you want to connect to these services, that decision will be between you and that company and does not involve the City nor is it required by the City.
