👑❤️🖤💚 SHE PERSONIFIES COMMITMENT, CREATIVITY, AND THE COURAGE THAT MAKES BLACK GIRL MAGIC SO SPECIAL. TODAY WE SHINE THE SPOTLIGHT AN COMMUNITY CHANGE-AGENT, ENTERPRISING ENTREPRENEUR, AND AWARD-WINNING AUTHOR: RESIRE FULTZ!

🌟 Recently celebrating her 16th birthday, Resire is a sophomore at East Aurora High School and a very active and visible young leader in the Aurora community. She is deeply involved in uplifting those around her and is already demonstrating what it means to be a true servant-leader.

💪🏾 Despite facing many challenges, she continues to persevere with determination and grace. Resire has used her voice to advocate for students by speaking at School Board meetings about issues that impact young people and how those issues can be resolved. She is passionate about motivating students who may be struggling academically or dealing with physical ailments, because she understands those battles firsthand.

🤝🏾 Among the many community programs she participates in, Resire shines especially bright through her involvement with Talented Tenth Social Services, Inc. under the mentorship and guidance of Natalie Bonner who nominated her to be featured for Black Girl Magic Month.

Through the organization’s JUNIORPRENEURS PROGRAM, she has learned how to develop entrepreneurial skills and turn ideas into opportunity. Now, Resire can often be found at community events proudly selling products from her own business, including hair bonnets and even her own book. YES, HER OWN BOOK!

📚 Resire is an award-winning published author through Bonner’s DREAM SCRIBERS PROGRAM, where she wrote and published her first book, Resire Smiles. Somewhat autobiographical, the book follows Kam, a young girl who transforms experiences with bullying, health challenges, and a learning disability into a source of strength and resilience. Resire Smiles can be purchased on Amazon: www.tinyurl.com/ResireSmiles

🏆 In addition to the awards for her book, Resire has received several City of Aurora Awards of Excellence and MLK Service Above Self Awards, of which her most recent recognition was presented by one of her favorite television actors, Tyler Lepley.

✨ MUCH LIKE THE CHARACTER IN HER BOOK, RESIRE IS ON AN INSPIRING JOURNEY OF RESILIENCE, GROWTH, AND BLACK GIRL MAGIC!

đź–¤ You keep on sharing your story so we all can be healed, niece! We are so proud of you!

This week, in a significant legal victory, a D.C. circuit court ruled in favor of the NAACP’s lawsuit on behalf of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and its employees.

This ruling allows CFPB employees to return to work and to continue the Bureau’s vital mission of protecting consumers from predatory financial practices.

“We cannot allow political agendas to erode an institution built to ensure fairness and accountability in the financial sector.”— Keisha Bross, NAACP Director of Opportunity, Race, and Justice.
