Last week, the Tuesday Garden Club came to visit with flowers, vases and clippers. They helped the residents create lovely arrangements for their rooms, the dining tables and all around Sunnymere. The residents really enjoyed this. Thank you, Garden Club!!

Wishing Carl a very happy birthday!. He's been with us for 7 years. And, today at Bingo, he won the big Bingo. Way to go Carl!

When a resident passes, it is very hard on the other residents and the staff. We lost Patti L last week and we will miss her.

In her obituary, the family said some very kind words about Sunnymere.
"For the last several years, Patti made her home at Sunnymere, where she was cared for with extraordinary kindness, compassion, and dignity. Her family is deeply grateful to the entire Sunnymere staff for the wonderful care they provided and for the genuine affection they showed her throughout her time there. Their patience, warmth, and dedication brought great comfort to Patti and to everyone who loved her."

Sunnymere Senior Community is hiring a Full-Time Kitchen Assistant 6-30am to 1:30pm, Monday to Friday. Will train. Stop in for an application--925 Sixth Ave, Aurora.

The 2026 Annual Family 'Picnic' Beach Party is now history! What a great event. Thank you to all the families who joined our residents at the 'Beach'. While we were not actually at the beach, we certainly got the idea with 'water' on the walls, 'beach' food and sand and water outside for the kids! Beach balls and seashells decorated the tables. Our new shirts said 'Made for Sunny Days'. (How perfect for Sunnymere!).
And we all loved seeing that sweet baby!!

Here is our July calendar. Happy Independence Day! Our Annual Family Picnic is Saturday, July 25th.

Sunnymere Senior Community is located in Aurora, a few minutes from Rt 30 and Rt 34 on more than 7 acres overlooking Philips Park Golf Course in Aurora. Accommodations for independent and Supervised care are available.
