On July 30, Homestead hosted a Literacy & Lemonade summer event. Families enjoyed books, lemonade, and a read aloud about Louis Braille. Then they read and wrote words in Braille, played Braille Twister, and had Braille relay races. Thank you to everyone who attended!

come read with us! Bring your book(s) of choice and a chair or
beach towel to sit on. The first 30 minutes will be for reading and

Daily independent reading is a priority and goal for all of our students! We hope students can keep up daily reading habits over the summer.
