đź’™ Gratitude for the Care Our Family Received đź’™

Thank you for sharing how our team made you and your family feel while being cared for in our Granby Emergency Department!

"Nobody wants to have an incident on their bucket list ranch vacation. So we want to take a moment to share our gratitude for the exceptional care my wife received at Middle Park Health in Granby. From the moment she arrived in the Emergency Department through her inpatient night in the hospital side, we experienced a level of kindness, attentiveness, and genuine human care that made a difficult situation easier for all of us.

Dr. Rad, Mackenzie, Tarrah, Zeb, and the entire Emergency Department team were wonderful. My wife felt listened to, supported, and reassured as they worked to manage her pain and stabilize her injuries. What really touched us so much was the way the team showed compassion for our 17-year-old son who is on the spectrum. Zeb picked up on this before we were even in the care suite – and connected with him. Sarah at reception, and others, continued to tune into him and his interests, his scripting, and what would help him feel comfortable. They kept him comfortable and treated him with warmth and respect so we could get my wife stable. That kind of situational awareness and compassion is something our family will remember for a long time.

The care continued once my wife was admitted. Madison and Maple were extraordinarily kind, thoughtful, and reassuring. They helped her navigate her pain while giving her considerate guidance about the flight home and how to navigate the first difficult days. My wife has joked that, based on how well Madison and Maple cared for her, she almost wishes she could have stayed one more day inpatient in the comfort of their care and the facility.

What struck us about Middle Park Health was how clearly caring people and a strong, positive culture always translates directly to the experience of care. We saw clinical professionalism alongside warmth, teamwork, and a human touch—and employees who were genuinely committed to both their work and one another. Maybe it is the beautiful setting, and a great community around you – but great culture doesn’t happen on accident.

We know healthcare needs never stop, but what may have felt like one more day at work to the staff became an experience our family will carry with us for years."

“We are seeing children with such traumatic brain injuries that they are hospitalized for months at a time with severe brain bleeds, permanent disability,” said Dr. Maria Mandt from Children’s Hospital Colorado “The injuries are just more severe and catastrophic at a higher clip.”

Does your outreach and prevention program include information about ebikes and helmets?

Injuries to kids from riding on e-bikes nearly doubled in 2025, according to Children's Hospital data.
