Good Friday! Got some needed precipitation last night, and it looks like that will continue on and off for a better part of the morning as we begin the day. Cloudy and overcast to start, becoming mostly sunny as the day progresses. Highs in the low 80s with a variable wind around 5 MPH throughout the day.

Looking ahead to this evening/overnight, there is a marginal risk for severe weather with the best chances coming between 11 PM and 4 AM, Saturday morning. Quarter-size hail and wind gusts up to 60 MPH are the main potential hazards. We will continue to update as the day moves along.

CLAY...EASTERN ADAMS...NANCE...YORK...HAMILTON...NORTHWESTERN
FILLMORE...MERRICK...POLK...HOWARD AND EASTERN HALL COUNTIES THROUGH
315 AM CDT...

At 224 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Cotesfield to near Marquette to near Inland. Movement was northeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
Aurora, Central City, Harvard, Palmer, Wolbach, Marquette, Cushing, and Archer around 230 AM CDT.
Hordville and Stockham around 235 AM CDT.
Hampton around 240 AM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Clarks, Polk, Fullerton, Henderson, Belgrade, Bradshaw, Silver Creek and Stromsburg.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 313 and 357.

* At 137 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 8 miles southwest of Litchfield to near Prosser to near Cowles, moving northeast at 45 mph.

Good Thursday! Partly cloudy today with highs in the mid 80s. Winds out of northwest at 10 MPH.

Looking ahead to the overnight hours, there's a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly between 1-3 AM Friday morning. We'll continue to monitor those conditions as the time draws near and keep you all updated on any changes that may occur. Have a great day!

Good Wednesday! Looking at partly sunny, hot and muggy today with highs in the low 90s. We'll see heat indices in the low 100s. Winds out of the east at 5-10 MPH.

Looking ahead to this evening, a potential for storms moving in from the west beginning late this evening and into the overnight hours. Greatest risk for storms is from 9 PM to 3 AM, Thursday. Hamilton County is currently sitting within the "Slight" risk category for the potential of severe weather. Main hazards associated with these storms include quarter-size hail and high winds of 60+ MPH. Make sure you have a way to receive weather alerts and warnings. Have a plane and stay safe!
