👻 THE BEST PART? YOU PICK YOUR SCARE LEVEL!

Not every kid wants scary characters popping up next to their car, and that’s okay! My kids weren’t comfortable with the characters inside the car wash, so we opted out of that part and got to see the characters afterward instead. ❤️

✨ You can still enjoy the colorful lights, immersive light show and fun Halloween decorations inside the car wash without going all-in on the scares!

🍬 The kids can also enjoy candy and balloons, making this a fun little Halloween outing for the family.

And honestly, a Halloween activity AND checking a car wash off your to-do list? That’s a win for parents! 🙌

📌 Save this for your Chicagoland Halloween activities list, and send it to someone who loves finding unique things to do with kids around the Chicago suburbs!

Looking for kid-friendly activities in Vernon Hills, IL that you can enjoy ALL in one place?!

Especially with the cold Illinois weather coming, this is your reminder that you don’t have to load the kids in and out of the car to keep them entertained all day! ❄️
We spent the day exploring Hawthorn in Vernon Hills, and there are SO many fun indoor activities for kids and families to check out! 🎉

Here’s what we did on our family adventure 👇🏼

🤸🏼‍♀️ Funflatables – The perfect place to start and let the kids burn off some energy! FunFlatables

🏎️ RC Race Zone – Race cars around the track AND play with the bulldozers in the sandpit! RcRaceZone

🎨 The Painted Penguin – Get creative with painted figurines, beading, slime, and graffiti-style spray painting! The Painted Penguin

🦁 Hologram Zoo – Experience a unique, immersive zoo adventure unlike your typical zoo visit! HologramZooIL

🦄 Zoom Zone – Let the kids ride around on fun animal rides! Zoom Zone Animal Rides

🍦 Tutti Frutti – Finish off a long day of fun with a sweet treat because, of course, we had to treat ourselves! 😉

The best part? You can mix and match activities based on your kids’ ages, interests, and energy levels without driving all over town. It’s a great option for a cold or rainy day, school breaks, weekends, or when you just need to get the kids out of the house!
