Medical examiners and coroners – like fire fighters and law enforcement – serve our communities by holding perpetrators of crime accountable and bringing justice to survivors. This work takes a toll. Our legislation ensures these professionals receive comprehensive mental health services at no cost.

This will provide safety regulations, age, insurance, and registration requirements when using specific newer vehicles like E-Motos that can get above 28MPH. E-Bikes and Toy Vehicles will also be regulated to provide safety to kids and our families. The bill would be in effect on Jan 1, 27.

Today marks the start of the last week of the legislative spring session! We still have many bills to review and the budget to pass, but I’m excited to share with you after this week all the work we’ve accomplished and the affordability legislation we’ve passed.

In addition to today being Memorial Day and the final week of the session, it’s also a special day for my family. Thirty-four years ago, my parents immigrated to this country without knowing the language and leaving everything behind. We faced many obstacles as a family, but I'm grateful for them because they made us stronger. Today before driving to Springfield I was able to celebrate with my family with a delicious cake ❤️
