🌹MOTHER HICKS RECEIVES ‘MARIE AWARD’: Congratulations to Mother Dolores Hicks on receiving the 2026 SPIRIT OF MARIE AWARD from the Marie Wilkinson Food Pantry!

🏆EACH YEAR, THE PANTRY BESTOWS THE SPIRIT AWARD UPON A COMMUNITY SERVANT WHO HAS GIVEN THEIR TIME TO MAKE AURORA A BETTER COMMUNITY IN THE SAME SPIRIT THE MATRIARCH OF AURORA, MARIE WILKINSON, DID FOR DECADES.

🙏🏾Mother Dolores Hicks is a respected Aurora stateswoman who has empowered residents for decades, leading with faith, passion, and empathy, especially for youth and seniors. A retired nurse with more than 40 years of service and a pastor, she serves as an Aurora Township Trustee, chairs the Senior Advisory Committee, and supports youth initiatives. Affectionately known as “Mother Hicks,” her legacy of advocacy and care is deeply rooted in the community.

❤️🖤💚WHAT A BEAUTIFUL, WELL-DESERVE TRIBUTE DURING BLACK HISTORY MONTH AS WE APPROACH WOMEN’S HISTORY MONTH!

❗️Salute to you, Mother Hicks!
