🚧 PUBLIC CONSTRUCTION NOTICE 🚧

Road Closure – 214th Street

Beginning today, 214th Street from 34th Avenue South to Aurora will be closed to all traffic for construction activities.

Closure Duration:
📅 Today, August 4 – Saturday, August 8

Local traffic is asked to use an alternate route during the closure. Please follow all posted detour signs and use caution when traveling near the work zone.

Beginning 08/04/2026 at 9:00 am Brookings County 16A or 214th St. between Brookings County 21 or 34th Avenue and Aurora will be closed until Friday afternoon.

Brookings County crew will be preparing raveled areas on the road tomorrow; Bowes Construction of Brookings will move in on Wednesday morning to pave the roadway. This work will be completed following the 2026 Brookings County annual supplies, materials and services contract for patching.

With Gala Days this weekend, we would like to remind everyone that Broadway will be closed on Saturday (Aug. 1st) from Pine St. to Rasmussen St. There will be no parking on Broadway starting at 6:00 a.m. on Saturday until midnight. Thank you and enjoy the Gala Days Celebration!
