On March 29th, Aurora Fire District had the honor of providing a water cannon salute to recognize a pilot retiring after 57 years of dedicated service at the Aurora Airport.

This long-standing aviation tradition is a symbol of respect and appreciation, marking the end of an incredible career and a lifetime of commitment to the skies. We are proud to take part in honoring such a remarkable milestone and celebrating the legacy left behind.

Congratulations, and thank you for your decades of service. Wishing you all the best in your well-earned retirement.

Aurora Fire District crews have been busy serving the community.

On March 26th, Aurora Fire District was dispatched to a recreational vehicle fire. Engine 915 arrived to find the RV fully engulfed and immediately began fire suppression efforts. Crews were able to bring the fire under control.

While operating at the RV fire, Aurora Fire District also responded to a simultaneous medical call. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers, we were able to handle both incidents, as our volunteers quickly responded to the medical call while Engine 915 remained committed to the fire.

Aurora Fire District is proud to have such a strong team supporting our community.
