We won a free ticket to FLAVORTOWN!! 🎟🍗🍓The 6th annual APS Meet & Eat featured a food vendor battle and a sensational celebrity meet up. "Guy Fieri" joined Miles the Mascot and injected endless and hilarious energy into the event. 😆🔥Students and families tried food from 50 vendors and voted for their favorites. The top vote-getters will appear on breakfast/lunch menus later this school year. The Bright Spots Project is a national data-journalism undertaking of The 74 and highlights schools where students are thriving and specifically where third-grade literacy scores are outpacing expectations 💪

There's a teen somewhere in Aurora who has a bright future in art or architecture! 😍

Aurora Central Library has an area within the teen's section where teens can, anonymously, share their creative work on sticky notes. One day, a portrait of Aurora Central Library was left behind and caught the attention of library staff. We love seeing teen talent in the library!

Everyone loves a good STORY 📚

Earlier this week, APS staff volunteered to read books to students in classrooms as part of our district-wide read-aloud program!

Staff representing nearly every department across our fabulous district popped into 31 different elementary and P-8 schools to read some of their favorite stories while teachers performed quick individual literacy tests 🤝✍

💔 A message from our Rangeview Boys Baskteball Team:

We wanted to share that our longtime boys basketball game announcer 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐡 𝐆𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐳 passed away the evening of Wednesday, Aug. 12th. Rich was our announcer from 1983 to 2025 and inducted into the RHS Hall of Fame in 2023. Rich was an unwavering supporter, as well as a beam of light and energy to our players and program, even after his retirement. He will be dearly missed.

Raider Boys Hoops will honor him at a game this upcoming season. More details to come…
