🚨09/04 BOATING ALERT: Cherry Creek Reservoir Water Levels 🚨
If you’re heading out to Cherry Creek State Park this weekend, head’s up! Water levels are low and getting lower, and there are a few important things you need to know before launching your boat:
Water Levels are LOW, we are right around 5546 feet.
PLEASE DO NOT POWER LAUNCH OR LOAD YOUR BOATS.
Watch the end of the ramp: Colored tape on the dock shows exactly where the concrete boat ramp ends. If you back up past that tape, your trailer may drop off a steep underwater ledge.
Beware of the Hazards: Hazards still exist, and as water levels continue to decrease more hazards present themselves. Inboard motor operators should use extreme caution, water levels may be too shallow to launch!
Large boats: Large boats or inboard motors requiring a deeper draft are encouraged NOT TO LAUNCH. Unmarked hazards may still be everywhere!
Remember Leave No Trace Principle #1 - Plan ahead and prepare! Stay safe out on the water, double check your safety gear, and wear your life jacket! 🛥️⚓
