β›ˆοΈ Following the forecasted storms this evening, the Aurora Emergency Management Agency (AEMA) asks residents and business owners to consider completing a Self-Reporting Damage Assessment Survey to report damages to private property.

Responses to the survey help AEMA identify the location and severity of storm damage and determine where in-field damage assessments may be needed.

Please note that completing this voluntary, no-cost survey does not replace reporting damages to your insurance company and does not guarantee disaster assistance. However, the information provided helps the City assess community impacts and supports the disaster declaration process, which may make disaster funding available.

πŸ“² Complete the survey today at https://arcg.is/00ieDf0.

This survey is for private damage only. To report damage to public property (downed trees, flooded roads, etc.), visit www.myaurora311.com to submit a ticket.

Beware of scams at this time. Do not provide financial information or make payments to anyone claiming they can guarantee disaster assistance or expedite aid. City staff and emergency responders will never ask for payment to complete a damage assessment or disaster assistance application.

❗ For additional safety actions and tips on how to avoid scams after storms, make sure to review AEMA's awareness tips on what to do After The Storm at https://loom.ly/iHuGULU.
