Electronics Recycling Event Saturday

❗ THIS SATURDAY: Free Fall Electronics Recycling Drive-Thru!

♻️ The City of Aurora is hosting a free Electronics Recycling Drive-Thru on Saturday from 8 A.M. to 12 P.M. at the Route 59 Metra Train Station, located at 1090 N. IL Route 59. The event will take place on the south side of the train tracks.

🌟 All items are free to recycle, including televisions, but registration is required! All residents MUST register in advance for a time slot. Required registration IS STILL OPEN!

✅ The event is open to the first 2,000 Aurora residents who register. ID is also required.
✅ Each vehicle is limited to two screens — either televisions or computer screens — but can have an unlimited number of other electronics.
✅ Only approved household items and electronics will be accepted!

July 4 Fireworks rescheduled for July 10

❗ Following significant severe storms last night, forecasted storms tonight, and conversations between the Aurora Police Department, Aurora Fire Department, and City leadership, the City of Aurora is rescheduling tonight’s fireworks show at RiverEdge Park and McCullough Park to Friday, July 10.

Keeping visitors safe remains the City’s top priority for the event. With a high probability of more thunderstorms tonight, per the National Weather Service, combined with substantial portions of the City recovering from storm damage and still without power, the decision was made to reschedule tonight’s fireworks show.

Currently, Street Maintenance Division crews are conducting large sweeps of the City to expedite the clean-up process. Use the myAurora 311 app, available on the App Store and Google Play, or visit www.myaurora311.com to file a ticket, as the Street Maintenance team will continue to work around the clock to remove large, downed branches or downed tree limbs when placed in the parkway.

Additional details on the July 10 Fireworks Show will be provided in the coming days. As of right now, the City’s Fourth of July Parade, set to take place tomorrow morning at 10 A.M., is still scheduled to occur.

We'll have the games on the big screens, good company, and plenty of space to settle in and watch the action together…compliments of the City of Aurora, IL, Government and RiverEdge Park.

The June 30th Mexico vs. Ecuador match will be shown on the big screens using the Telemundo broadcast.
