⚠️ Be extremely careful around Lake Travis!

Flash flood emergencies are unfolding right now along the Pedernales River (7/16). This river flows into Lake Travis.
Rising water, strong currents, and floating debris could create dangerous conditions on and near the lake the next couple of days.

🔹 Stay away from fast-moving or debris-filled water
🔹 Use extreme caution if boating
🔹 Avoid flooded boat ramps, parks, and low-water crossings
🔹 Never drive around barricades or through flooded roads

🚨 Swimming at Reimers Ranch Park is NOT recommended due to all the rain upriver.

Always stay aware of your surroundings!

🚨Heads up!

Vehicle access to the Pedernales River at Reimers Ranch Park is closed and swimming is not recommended due to flash flood emergencies upriver. As the water flows downstream, the current is fast, and debris are making conditions unsafe.

🚨Travis County Judge Andy Brown has signed a local disaster declaration in the event of severe flooding.

This allows Travis County to proactively prepare and enhance coordination of resources, services, and communication with state and federal emergency partners.
