UTPD is seeking professional, service-oriented Telecommunicators to join our Communications Center. We are especially interested in experienced dispatchers and TCOLE-certified Telecommunicators who are ready to continue their careers with a premier law enforcement agency serving one of the nation’s leading universities.

The current posting requires at least two years of experience as a TCOLE-licensed Telecommunicator in the State of Texas.

Telecommunicators are a critical part of every public safety response, serving as the connection between our community and the officers and emergency personnel responding to calls for service. The role requires sound judgment, clear communication and a commitment to helping others in high-pressure situations.

This specialized assignment offers officers the opportunity to serve in a dynamic healthcare environment while supporting the safety of patients, healthcare professionals, students, faculty, staff and visitors. Hospital Operations officers provide a visible safety presence, respond to emergencies and work alongside healthcare partners to serve our community when it matters most. Required for current posting is 2 years as a license peace officer in the State of Texas.
