Minnesota 4-H allows the leasing of animal science projects to encourage a greater number of members to have the opportunity to experience the showing of livestock projects. We want to build a list of people in Mower County who are willing to lease their animals to 4-H members. We will share this list with 4-H families. Please complete the form (see first comment) if you are interested in leasing animals to 4-H members. Contact the 4-H office if you have any questions.

Renae shares why she is thankful for Minnesota 4-H Volunteer Lyn. I’m thankful for Lyn because she has been such a huge part of my llama journey. She has taught me so much about llamas and showing, and she has always been willing to take me to shows and help me learn along the way. But beyond just being my llama mentor, she has become someone who treats me like one of her own kids. She has supported me, encouraged me, and been there for me through so much, and I’m really grateful for everything she has done for me and the relationship we’ve built through llamas and 4-H.

For over 80 years, the 4-H Building has been the heart of Minnesota 4-H at the Minnesota State Fair. That building hasn’t kept pace with the evolving needs of our youth - who are engaging in new, exciting and complex activities and projects.

We’re embarking on a campaign to renovate the building so it’s for today’s youth and future generations - from new learning zones in the building so youth can take their learning back to their communities in new ways to overnight summer camps. Each year, Mower County 4-H gives out awards to 4-H youth, volunteers, and supporters to recognize them for their learning, accomplishments, and support. These awards are given out during our Recognition Banquet in the fall. Applications for all awards are due October 1.
