Texas agriculture cannot afford silence.
What some political observers fail to understand is that Sid Miller isn’t fighting for a title anymore. He’s fighting for the farmers, ranchers, producers, and rural communities who built this state. He’s fighting for the people who put food on America’s tables.
This has never been about Republicans versus Democrats. It’s about whether Texas agriculture remains in the hands of Texans or becomes controlled by bureaucrats, special interests, and political puppets who answer to someone else.
A real Agriculture Commissioner doesn’t sit quietly when he sees threats to our livestock, food supply, water resources, land, or rural economy. He speaks up. He pushes back. He fights.
Agriculture is not just farming. Agriculture is food security. It’s ranching. It’s livestock. It’s water. It’s trade. It’s rural jobs. It’s the backbone of Texas.
Commissioner Miller has spent years warning about problems before they became crises. So when he raises concerns, Texans should listen instead of pretending it’s politics.
The easy thing would be to walk away and stay quiet. Sid Miller isn’t built that way.
He doesn’t want a puppet running Texas agriculture. He wants someone who will stand up to Washington when necessary, defend Texas producers, protect private property rights, and put Texas agriculture first.
That’s not a politician looking for attention.
That’s a man refusing to stop fighting for the people he was elected to serve.
