The Senate HELP Committee’s report title, “Mifepristone Without Guardrails,” says it all. Not a single prescriber has ever been decertified despite widespread documented violations. A girl as young as 13 can obtain abortion pills online in minutes with no in-person physician visit or parental consent requirements. This is why Texas Alliance for Life joined the amicus brief in Louisiana v. FDA, scheduled for an expedited hearing before the Fifth Circuit on September 9. The in-person physician visit requirement must be restored so that strong pro-life laws like Texas’, which protects life from the moment of fertilization, will be respected and no longer circumvented at great cost to women and their babies.

Amen. We stand with both mothers and children.

Somewhere along the way, we were told that in order to stand with a woman, we had to stand against the life growing within her.

But what if we refused to choose between them?

What if we cared deeply for both?

And we do. Pro-life means showing up for the woman who is scared. The woman who isn’t ready. The woman without a village. The woman staring at two lines wondering how her entire life could change overnight.

It means giving her more than an argument.

Giving her resources.
Giving her options.
Giving her a village.
Giving her room to breathe.
Giving her the truth about parenting and adoption.
And reminding her that an unexpected life can still hold an extraordinary future.

We don’t have to diminish women to defend unborn children.

And we don’t have to diminish unborn children to defend women.

There is room and compassion for both.

There always was and always will be. 🤍
