ENERGIZE AUSTIN | Austin Mayor Roger Hawkins represented the City of Austin today at the Our Southern Indiana Regional Development Authority meeting at Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg.

The RDA brings together leaders from Clark, Floyd, Jefferson, Scott, and Washington counties to collaborate on projects, investment, and opportunities that strengthen Southern Indiana. Today’s meeting included updates on READI 1.0 and READI 2.0, financial matters, blight initiatives, arts and culture efforts, and other regional priorities.

For Austin, being part of these regional conversations is important as the city continues working toward long-term community investment, economic growth, and revitalization.

Mayor Hawkins is proud to have Austin at the table as Southern Indiana communities work together to build what comes next.

ENERGIZE AUSTIN | As the start of a new school year gets closer, these photos from the City of Austin’s 2026 Annual Fireworks Display are a great reminder of what makes this community special.

Summer is still going strong, but back-to-school season is right around the corner. Before schedules fill up and routines return, we’re taking a moment to look back at a night when families, friends, neighbors, first responders, volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and community partners came together to celebrate Austin.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this year’s fireworks display possible. Here’s to enjoying the rest of summer and carrying this same community spirit into the school year ahead.
