Yesterday, worked through an agenda which included securing additional wind-generated electricity, supporting the operations systems for libraries and the City’s fire safety systems + more. Watch the meeting at bit.ly/4y1KJ55.

Here are a few highlights:

🚒 City Council approved continuing a contract for a web-based service that manages the testing, maintenance and repair reports required for all fire safety systems within the City.

⚡ Council members authorized Austin Energy to extend a power purchase agreement for up to 60 megawatts of wind-generated electricity to further support the City’s carbon-free energy goals.

📚 City Council extended a contract to maintain + support Austin Public Library systems used for self-checkout, inventory management and material sorting across all library locations.

With funding from the Bright Green Future Grants program, Govalle Elementary expanded its chicken run and introduced egg incubation to its outdoor learning curriculum.
