Join us on June 16 for a free virtual presentation by Sarah Hopp, PhD, who will discuss her research on "Identifying Microglia Molecular Pathways to Understand Alzheimer’s Disease." Microglia, the brain’s resident immune cells, play a critical role in neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Hopp is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and the Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio. She is also a dedicated educator in the South Texas Alzheimer’s Center and was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching from UT Health San Antonio in 2025.
